Last Saturday my family from AZ got to come up and enjoy the celebration of the wedding in utah. I loved that we were able to spend some more time together. I especially enjoy playing with my beautiful sister and her adorable family. We were invited to go play with cooper and cole at the Kangaroo gym where they have a ton of blow up slides for kids (and us big kids) to play on. It was so much fun for Landon and I. Cooper just LOVED it! And the boys (meaning Danny and Landon) loved being rough with Coop. Here's some pics from our fun time! We wish we got to see more of them! Also there is a video of Danny and Landon thinking it is fun to throw Cooper around a little bit. He enjoyed it until he got thrown down! haha
Well the wedding celebrations have finally ended. I would have loved to been able to drag out the wedding for two more weeks, but I guess it's time to settle down and live life as newlyweds! I was so lucky to be able to have two receptions. The first was down in Arizona where we were married. Everything was BEAUTIFUL! We had soooooooo many people who were gracious enough to help us out with decorations and food. My mom has so many amazing friends who really stepped up to the plate. It was incredible. The candles, the table centerpieces, the cake, the lights in the tree's, the orange blossoms everywhere, the delicious food and the amazing company made our special day one that I honestly will never forget! Having friends who are like my family there to support me when times are hard financially is a blessing in of itself. The Lord really does look after his children. The Fowlers also provided a wonderful open house up here in Utah. We again witnessed the charity from members of his ward as well as extended family. Many of our friends showed us such love by taking the long drive from provo to come. It meant so much to see them there! Landon and I are off to a great start as we see the service that others have provided us. Each person that came made an effort in some way to let us know that they care.
My photographer was amazing and went up and beyond what was expected of her. Her name is Sarah Walker of Fergueson Photography. I don't have the pictures yet, but I will post some as soon as I get them. For those of you who know me, know that pictures are one if not my MOST favorite thing. I love them and of the few that i've seen from my wedding, Sarah was able to capture the beauty and incredible feeling that I had that day!
Landon and I got to spend our honeymoon in beautiful San diego. His grandma was so great to let us use a time share that she had at a resort there. We played tennis, enjoyed a day at sea world, and rode beach cruisers down mission beach. It was so much fun to be with him and each day we are together the luckier I feel to be married to such an incredible person! He is my best friend and I love watching as he tries his best to be a good husband. People always ask if we have found any surprises about each other and there really haven't been any. He's a little OCD about organization but if cleaning up too much is his worst quality then I got myself a steal of a deal! We Love being married and look forward to the new beginnings we have ahead of us.
It was wonderful to see our two families merge. Being in utah is hard sometimes because I don't get to see my family in AZ very often. Our families seemed to get along as we piled into the front room to watch American Idol. I love and miss my family so much. Playing with Cooper and spending time with Kasey and Danny and my little brother Reece is always a treat that I wish I could have more often. They are amazing and have influenced my life for the better. Landon and I feel so privaledged to have such great examples in our parents. They both show us exactly how we want our marriage to be and we couldn't be more grateful to them for all of the hardwork and support that they have given to us!
Sorry for the long essay, but there is still so much left unsaid. Life is great, we are excited about the many things ahead of us with graduation, football and much more! We'll be keeping you updated! Leave comments so I can add people to my list of friends blogs! It's so fun see what everyone is up to!
Well, as you may notice I am a bitCLUELESSabout this whole blogging thing. But seeing as how I've been blog stalking most of my friends since they've been married I figured that now since I've joined themarriedworld (approximately a week and a half ago) I too can join the blogging world. I am having slight problems with the formatting of the blog so please send me tips that will make adding pictures and centering them easier for me.I'm excited to become an avid blogger and hopefully can muster up enough courage to delete myfacebook! I'll get a real post up here later after I play around to try and figure this thing out.
Landon and I met our freshman year at BYU. We "hung out" for many months before his mission and we decided we'd write while he was gone to India for 2 years. It was surprisingly easy to keep in touch each week and the closer it came for him to come home we felt even closer than before. He got home and it didn't take us too long to realize that love was in the air. We were married on March 5, 2009. We absolutely love being newlyweds!
