4 Month Drought...

So it appears that my dedication to blogging was equally non-habitual; much like my journal writing of which this blog was supposed to replace. Life is very busy. But that is not an excuse because it really isn't TOO busy to write down memories and reflections on life's events. I could give up my time dedicated to Grey's Anatomy, or Biggest Loser or even Law & Order:SVU. But the ranking of blogging on my to-do list has it's obvious place (last).

But for my own sake, I would love to join in on bragging and posting about all the "Up's" life has dished out during the last four months. Do not be fooled... the "down's" have been scattered frequently but there are so many beautiful reasons I have to be HAPPY!! ( thanks sister for the song!)

While the weather was still conducive to being outdoors, we spent time with our favorite friends Colie, Blair and Shelb and Ryan hiking. It was beautiful and even though I complain a lot about the weather in Utah, the mountains and tree's really are beautiful.

We also got to spend a few days with my sister and her family up in the mountains. It was so much fun to be away from the city and hustle and bustle of life. We got to entertain the kids and ride four-wheelers and eat delicious food. It was such a fun, beautiful little vacay.

Cute boys!

My sister and I.

The boys being pulled by Landon!!
The amazing pool and lookout!!

This picture was taken right before Cole let go of one hand to say "One more" (before going to the slide) and then loosing his grip and pulling a backflip/faceplant into the wood chips. haha

This fall has been the start of another year of football. Landon has been working so hard and has been leading the defense in interceptions during practice! This year started off rough, but the Cougs are hoping to finish out strong. Landon loves football so much and I love when he's happy. He would definitely say it's a beautiful game.

Other news about Landon is that he has accepted an internship offer from the accounting firm Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC) for the summer in... wait for it............. PHOENIX!! That means we will be living in AZ for the summer and then hopefully return for good after he graduates with a full time job in Phoenix. I am so proud of him. Jobs are scarce these days and his hard work in school has paid off. He is so smart, motivated and ambitious and I am so lucky to have him!! What a beautiful opportunity for our future!

Because he was going down to AZ for some interviews, I decided I wanted to go too! So we got to be in AZ for halloween this year. Thanks to our friends we had some cute costumes. Our little "bones-man" (as Cooper called a skeleton) were so cute! It was so much fun to be around family!

I got to hang out with my cute pregnant best friends! I am so happy for both of them! Life is crazy and change happens fast, but they will be wonderful mothers and I can't wait to be aunt Courtney to more beautiful babies!

I got to spend so much time with my sister and my two nephews while Landon was doing school and work stuff. We got to ride the carousel at the mall, play in the park, eat Rosa's! (of course) and ice-cream. These boys are just too cute! Spending time with family and making beautiful memories is irreplaceable.

Beautiful kisses!

My best friend and sister Kasey! (so skinny and beautiful huh!)

This weekend my BIL Danny bought Kasey a flight up here to spend time with me in Utah without the kiddos. I don't know if Danny knows, but he was inspired. Being able to see my sister almost every two weeks this last month was just the remedy I needed to relieve the stress of school, health, work and life in general. I was feeling really weighed down but this weekend was the most fun I've had in a while. We got to eat at Tucano's, watch movies, play games, go shopping, cook dinner, eat treats, test drive cars, and mostly talk and laugh. I love you Kasey! (thank you danny, I love you too!!). What a beautiful weekend!!

The family!

I know this was a MASSIVE post. So congratulations to those of you who made it to the end.

Wedding Festivities

Landon's little sister Nicole (Colie) got married to her sweet fiance Blair last Thursday. We have gotten to know Blair and Colie so well since they met two years ago. They make a wonderful couple and we are so happy for them. They are our best buds and we love hanging out with them. It's so much fun to have family so close to party with. It's bitter sweet to watch them get married because now Landon and I aren't the newlyweds of the family anymore! We loved that title! haha Their day was so special and beautiful. Landon and I loved the wedding feeling and reminisced about our own wedding a year and a half ago. It is a one time thing and goes by way too fast! I always tell Landon I wanna get married again... to him again... but still do it again. Ha ha. It's the best day ever! So here are some pictures from their special day!

Of course the wedding festivities can't begin without a relaxing pedicure and manicure! Here are all the sisters.

We got our nails painted and they looked so cute.

It was a beautiful ceremony! Here is the happy couple exiting the Salt Lake Temple.

Me, Landon, Corby, Katie, Sarah and Kellen
Colie and Blair met at BYU Hawaii so we had a Luau for the grooms dinner the night before. Corby and Katie flew out and it was so much fun to see them!

My husband and I outside the temple!

She looked so beautiful!!

The bride and I. She was gorgeous!

Colie and her brothers! Good thing Blair can hold his own with these three boys!

The Fowler kids! (Blair should have joined us because technically he's now part of the fam!)

She had 14 bridesmaids! It was insane, but made for a party all night long!

Colie's sister in-laws and sister.

I love being married!!

The cake cutting was an eventful part of the wedding. The wedding planner/caterer got so many people's panties in wad because he would NOT get out of the way and let them cut the cake on their own. He pretty much held their hands and fed them the cake. People started yelling "Get him out of there!!" haha it was so funny. Something to remember for sure. He was a control freak and was so proud of the cake (which was beautiful). You can kind of see his blue sleeve on the edge of the picture. Colie finally said "Can you move so we can get a picture of just us?" haha Good times.

Overall, it was a perfect day! Yay for marriage! Congrats Colie and Blair, we love you!

If I could....

If I could, I would play tennis every day for the following reasons:

1. Its something fun to play with your husband.
2. It's an easy way to stay active
3. It's free (once you have rackets)
4. You can be outside and work on a tan :)
5. It's a fun social activity!
6. You get to wear cute tennis dresses and skirts!
7. You don't have to be very good to like it.

We got tennis rackets for a wedding present and so we decided maybe we should play. I've never played before in my life but it has been a lot of fun learning and simply having a fun thing to do together. We played this weekend with Tate and Syrell and although our skills were very rusty because it's been a while since we've played, it was fun to get out and feel active!

p.s. I know I look really hardcore with tape on my wrist, but it's not just to intimidate our opponents. My RA has been acting up, but I wasn't gonna let it stop me!

Catch Up... Lately

Summer has been so busy that blogging has not been at the top of the priority list for me. I've been in school full time this summer and driving to and from Salt Lake every day has been draining (on the bank account and on my sanity). I will admit this has been the hardest time in my life up to this point and taking time to enjoy life with my sweet husband and wonderful family and friends is a rare and amazing break from reality. The fourth of July was a fabulous weekend.

I promised myself not to even think about my upcoming final exams and projects and all the clinic paperwork piling up and just enjoy the weekend. And I sure did! Landon is from a small town called Kaysville, Utah and he LOVES the 4th. They have a city parade and their family does a volleyball tourny with neighbors and friends in their backyard.

My family was able to come up from AZ to spend the weekend. My brothers loved the volleyball tournament. It was so much fun to have both of my families together again!

My cute parents enjoying the weather and backyard watching the boys play!

My three brothers and husband made a unbeatable team.

Here we are at the parade.

Later that day, we drove back down to Provo to go to Stadium of Fire. This is a fireworks show/concert and I was so pumped to go because Carrie Underwood is my FAVORITE! I love her so much and she definitely did not let me down! The fireworks were awesome and Carrie was incredible! It was so much fun! (Thank you Gma and Gpa Fowler for gettin us tickets!)

Before the show started. Isn't he so cute!!

They had a great show and all these little dancers too lights and formed the United States on the field. I am so proud to be an American. We are so lucky to live in a free country!

The Fireworks were AWESOME!!

Landon's Cousin Tiffany and I. I'm so glad she was with me to yell and sing at the top of our lungs while dancing to Carrie. The only thing missing from this weekend was my sister! That would have been the cherry on top!

Giveaway...Think Positive

I have to think positive and get my name entered into THIS giveaway. Maybe someday I'll actually win... then it will be worth it.
