*WARNING* The following post contains ridiculous amount of pictures. But what better way to talk about all the fun things we did in the incredible city of NEW YORK!! It was the best vacation EVER. We did pretty much everything you can do and see in New York City. A HUGE GIGANTIC thanks to Momma and Papa Fowler for giving us the opportunity to experience such a place. We love you!! Let's begin the journey through the pictures....
NEW YORK NEW YORK.
We just couldn't wait. We headed to Times Square the first night we arrived. It was all that I imagined and more!
We stayed in the Marriott in the Financial District and "Rector St." was our home base.
#1. We spent a day at the Museum of Natural History
The boys love dinosaurs.
Libby and Brenda a little worn out...
Kissing my little frog prince...
Blaine digging for dinosaur bones with the kids
Mammoths were huge
There was a special frog exhibit with the cutest frogs ever. They were tiny, colorful and poisonous. It was probably our favorite thing at the Museum of Natural History
#2 Memorial Day
Here are the beautiful pictures of the day to remember our country's hero's.
New York Stock Exchange
Inside Grand Central Station
The 911 site. Ground Zero. We visited the 911 memorial and it brought us to tears. The reconstructed site is going to be beautiful. We can't wait to go back to see the finished product.
#3 Being Goofy Tourists!!!
Landon in Little Italy.
Libby Dancing at St. Paul's Cathedral.
Classic tourist picture
Libby and Blaine were street performers in Washington Square. They were wonderful. A band playing there gave us all maraca's to shake while they sang. It was so much fun.
Landon and Brenda being goofy as usual.
#4 Central Park Bike Ride
One of my favorite things was the bike ride through Central Park! Besides being off my seat, the turkish men biking us were entertaining and the park was gorgeous!
#5 Whats a trip to NYC without a visit the FAO Schwartz?
Unfortunately this was the closest we got to the statue of Liberty during the trip. I guess we've heard it's not that impressive so visiting the real thing wasn't high on our priority list. Oh well, I guess it leaves something to be done for next time we come!
The boys and lego Jack Sparrow.
Our puppets... we definitely draw a crowd when all of us adults are being so mature in a toy store.
#6 TIME SQUARE:
From the red staircase looking in... it was packed!! We partied with 4,000 of our closest friends!
#7 The CONCRETE JUNGLE! The buildings:
The view from our hotel room!! Looking over the Hudson river!
Top of the ROCK! WHAT A SIGHT!
St. Peter's Cathedral! It's crazy how the cathedrals are dwarfed in the middle of the city streets.
Empire State Building from the Top of the Rock.
We got a view coming back into manhattan from walking the Brooklyn Bridge. It was spectacular!
The view from the brooklyn bridge. The empire state building was red, white and blue for memorial day weekend.
Trinity church was right by our hotel. We passed it each day.
Empire State of Mind.
#8 Riding the Subway:
I painted my fingernails on the subway. I thought the smell would help.
Favorite pictures from the trip came from the subway. My mom sat down next to this guy. Try to read the sign... "I listen to your problems for $2.00" hahahah My mom's face is priceless.
Next, we made Gavin go "butt to butt" with a kid that was standing so close to him. hahaha
hahah
The crew.
It was a rare occasion to have the subway car all to ourselves. We played and made the most of it.
#9 The Food
This white chocolate cheesecake crepe from Max Brenner's was the most divine thing I have ever tasted in my life.
#10 THE SHOWS!!
Landon and I are the most spoiled people we know. We saw 4 shows in 5 days. WHO DOES THAT? um.. we do! We owe it all to our mom's and dad's!! They sure know how to make a girl's dream come true!
Phantom of the Opera
Les Miserables
Wicked (FAVORITE!)
